The Beirut Exchange Application
Dear Applicant:

Below you will find the complete application for the 22nd Beirut Exchange hosted by The Foundation for Global Political Exchange. The Conference will take place in-person June 9-16, 2024 in Beirut, Lebanon. Furthermore:

o Deadline I for applications is April 15/Deadline II is May 15, 2024.

o The program is closed to the public. Only those accepted into the program will be able to attend the sessions.

o Once accepted, the full participation fee must be paid via wire transfer or credit card as soon as possible. Note that as we operate under rolling admissions, a participant’s slot is not secured until full payment of the fee has been made.

o Most sessions will take place in English; when Arabic is used, consecutive interpretation into English will be made available.

o There is no refund provision if a participant chooses to withdraw after paying the participation fee unless the slot can be covered by a waiting list applicant. However, if The Exchange cancels or postpones the 21st Beirut Exchange for any reason up to one week before the opening on January 7, the participation fee will be refunded in full. Additionally, if any information in a participant's application is found to be misleading or untrue, the Foundation reserves the right to rescind acceptance.

o Although accepted participant details (Full Name, Citizenship, Affiliation and Email) will not be published, this information will be circulated among accepted participants and will also be forwarded in advance to our speakers. Some of our speakers and government officials may also request a copy of your passport JPEG as well.

o By submitting this application, you accept all of these preceding terms in full.

o APPLYING FOR A SCHOLARSHIP: The Foundation for Global Political Exchange currently has one Scholarship slot (covering the participation fee, room and board and airfare/transportation only) available for an individual who complies with either one of these two categories: A) The Lebanese/Lebanese Origin Researcher Scholarship for a Lebanese researcher who additionally demonstrates a lack of institutional or self-funding ability; B) The Global Exchange Researcher Scholarship available for a researcher who will deepen the social, political and geographic diversity of the Exchange and who can demonstrate a lack of institutional or self-funding ability.
